On Saturday, Iran initiated a barrage of drones and ballistic missiles at Israel. Thankfully, most of them were successfully intercepted and caused minimal damage. Of course, in a stunning move, President Biden is pushing Israel not to retaliate. It's hard to imagine why Biden would do that, except when you consider that Joe Biden has been appeasing Iran since his days as Barack Obama's vice president.
With that in mind, it's also not surprising—though it's still shocking— that Joe Biden not only had prior knowledge of Iran's assault on Israel but also technically gave it the green light under certain conditions, according to a report from the Jerusalem Post.
Iran informed Turkey in advance of its planned operation against Israel, a Turkish diplomatic source told Reuters on Sunday, adding that Washington had conveyed to Tehran via Ankara that any action it took had to be "within certain limits."
Turkey, which has denounced Israel for its campaign on Gaza, said earlier on Sunday that it did not want a further escalation of tensions in the region.
The Turkish source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had spoken to both his US Iranian counterparts in the past week to discuss the planned Iranian operation, adding Ankara had been made aware of possible developments.
Earlier this week, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke to Fidan to make clear that escalation in the Middle East was not in anyone's interest.
"Iran informed us in advance of what would happen. Possible developments also came up during the meeting with Blinken, and they (the US) conveyed to Iran through us that this reaction must be within certain limits," the source said.
I've said before that, despite his public support for Israel, Biden has not been a friend to the Jewish state. And this report proves that. Joe Biden publicly told Iran not to attack Israel. When it was clear they didn't give a hoot what he said, the Biden administration basically said it was fine to attack Israel as long as the attack was "within certain limits."
And then Joe went on vacation.

Joe Biden has come under fire over the extension of a sanction waiver that allegedly handed the Iranian regime billions of dollars in cash, presidential detractors claimed.
The White House in March extended a waiver that unlocked an estimated $10 billion in frozen assets to enable Iraq's government payment of electricity services to Iran, according to critics of the administration.
The extension of the waiver program, which had already been renewed once in November, came only six weeks after three US soldiers were killed in an airstrike conducted by the Iran-backed Islamic Resistance of Iraq.
Republicans on Capitol Hill have slammed the decision as they insisted the waiver is a "financial lifeline" for the Tehran regime.
Rep. Bill Huizenga of Michigan wrote to President Biden earlier this week to express his discontent over the extension alongside three colleagues.
Huizenga wrote: "By waiving the application of sanctions, the Administration is maintaining a financial lifeline for the Iranian regime, even as it continues to support terrorist organizations around the world."
The lawmakers warned that Iran "has a history of lying about humanitarian transactions. There is no reason to think that they will not try to skirt these restrictions again.
"Additionally, money is fungible, and the waiver and subsequent transfer will free up billions in funds that Iran can now spend on its terrorist proxies, nuclear activities, and military."
The State Department has long insisted the program is necessary to support Iraq as it “weans itself off Iranian energy imports."
The unfrozen funds can only be used for humanitarian purposes, the White House maintains.

In response to Iran's unprecedented attack against Israel over the weekend, President Joe Biden released the following statement:
Earlier today, Iran—and its proxies operating out of Yemen, Syria and Iraq—launched an unprecedented air attack against military facilities in Israel. I condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms.
At my direction, to support the defense of Israel, the U.S. military moved aircraft and ballistic missile defense destroyers to the region over the course of the past week. Thanks to these deployments and the extraordinary skill of our servicemembers, we helped Israel take down nearly all of the incoming drones and missiles.
I’ve just spoken with Prime Minister Netanyahu to reaffirm America’s ironclad commitment to the security of Israel. I told him that Israel demonstrated a remarkable capacity to defend against and defeat even unprecedented attacks – sending a clear message to its foes that they cannot effectively threaten the security of Israel.
Tomorrow, I will convene my fellow G7 leaders to coordinate a united diplomatic response to Iran’s brazen attack. My team will engage with their counterparts across the region. And we will stay in close touch with Israel’s leaders. And while we have not seen attacks on our forces or facilities today, we will remain vigilant to all threats and will not hesitate to take all necessary action to protect our people.
There's one massive problem and it's in the first sentence: "Earlier today, Iran—and its proxies operating out of Yemen, Syria and Iraq—launched an unprecedented air attack against military facilities in Israel."
Iran didn't simply target Israeli military sites. They targeted civilians, Israelis and Americans, living in all parts of the country.

Did the WH Deliberately 'Leak' Biden and Netanyahu's Phone Call?

President Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the United States would not support him if he were to retaliate against Iran after the terrorist-backed country launched an attack on Israel Saturday night.
Following the two leaders' phone call, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) accused the White House of deliberately leaking the audio to the public as a way to appease anti-Semitic supporters—or gain Biden back some votes ahead of the 2024 election.
During a Sunday interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rubio said it was “part of the White House’s efforts to appease” and pander to “anti-Israel and pro-terrorist elements” of the Democratic Party.
“They know that Israel’s going to respond – they know that for a fact,” Rubio said. “So, why would the White House leak it?”
“There's only one reason they leaked that,” the Florida Republican explained. “And that is that so when Israel does respond, the White House can say, 'We told them not to do it,' and at least somehow in some way, appease these so-called peace activists.”
Rubio accused Biden of wanting to please “so-called peace activists” after he lost thousands of voters during the primary due to his pro-Israel stance regarding the Hamas-Ukraine war.
The congressman said the same people who have been calling on Israel for a “ceasefire” against Hamas terrorists, are the same people cheering on Iran’s unprecedented attack against the Jewish region.
On Saturday, Biden claimed that the United State's support for Israel was “ironclad.”
However, this quickly changed after making it clear to Netanyahu that he would not back the Israeli prime minister in any offenses against Iran.
