Tim Walz Drops Out Of Minnesota Governor’s Race Amid Fraud Concerns

Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz will not seek re-election this year, he announced on Monday.

In a lengthy statement, Walz said Minnesota has been unfairly targeted by the Trump administration and cited ongoing fraud scandals that the Justice Department is investigating and prosecuting.

“Like many Minnesotans, I was glad to turn the page on 2025. It was an extraordinarily difficult year for our state. And it ended on a particularly sour note,” he stated.

“For the last several years, an organized group of criminals have sought to take advantage of our state’s generosity. And even as we make progress in the fight against the fraudsters, we now see an organized group of political actors seeking to take advantage of the crisis,” Walz added.

“I won’t mince words here. Donald Trump and his allies – in Washington, in St. Paul, and online – want to make our state a colder, meaner place. They want to poison our people against each other by attacking our neighbors. And, ultimately, they want to take away much of what makes Minnesota the best place in America to raise a family. They’ve already begun by taking our tax dollars that were meant to help families afford child care. And they have no intention of stopping there,” he continued.

The chances of Delta Force showing up in Tim Walz’s bedroom just skyrocketed.

Trump is pretty brazenly saying that Walz and Ilhan Omar were caught “REDHANDED” in the Somali fraud.

Walz, the 2024 Democratic vice presidential nominee, faced calls to resign amid numerous fraud scandals in the state, including cases involving daycare programs and Justice Department charges and convictions tied to schemes such as the fake children’s charity Feeding Our Future and autism treatment fraud.

His statement also indirectly mentioned independent journalist Nick Shirley, whose video alleging widespread fraud at Minnesota daycare centers recently went viral.

“We’ve got conspiracy theorist right-wing YouTubers breaking into daycare centers and demanding access to our children,” Walz said. (Editors Note: A Democrat can not open their mouth without lying to coverup their corruption and incompetence. Thus this totally false statement to deflect from his personal culpability for $9 Billion in stolen tax payer dollars!)

The Daily Agenda reported Sunday evening that Walz met with Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), while the New York Times reported that she may run for governor in his place. Walz has already served two terms as governor, and the potential move comes as Minnesota also faces an open Senate race in November, a scenario that could open another Senate seat if Klobuchar runs.

Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan is currently running in the Democratic primary for Senate, along with Rep. Angie Craig. With the governor’s seat now open, it remains unclear who Democrats will nominate to replace Walz.

On the Republican side, House Speaker Lisa Demuth and MyPillow founder Mike Lindell are among the names in the governor’s race.
