We the People Convention Statement to Republicans Upon the Death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Akron, OH - Tom Zawistowski, President of the TEA Party Affiliated We the People Convention, offered condolences this evening to the family and friends of the deceased Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and a warning to the Republican Party. Zawistowski said, "The passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will surely cause great pain to not only her family and friends but also to many Americans to whom Justice Ginsburg was held in high esteem. To all of them, we offer our sincere condolences for their loss."
Zawistowski continued, "God and fate have dealt this hand to the American people and our elected officials at this most crucial moment in American history, and, like it or not, that hand must now be played out. Let me, and our thousands of members and conservative republicans across America, make this reality crystal clear to every Republican Senator. The President will nominate a strict constitutionalist and true social conservative to the Supreme Court, and the Republican controlled Senate will vote to approve that nominee before the election, or you will lose your republican base support on November 3rd and lose your elections and control of the Senate. We the American people will not be played again by your worthless pre-election "promises", to do what the people want and need you to do, only to have you make excuses and renege after the election when the people cannot hold you accountable. You are all going to have to prove that you will keep your promises after the election by voting to give us what you have promised for decades before the election."
Zawistowski concluded, "I call upon all Trump supporters to immediately contact every Republican Senator and demand that they commit publicly, and in writing, to vote before the election to confirm the President's nominee to fill this most critical swing seat on the Supreme Court. Accept no excuse. Ignore anything the left or the media has to say because they have no say in this decision. They forfeited their right to have a say by the disgraceful, unethical, and illegal actions they took to undermine the Kavanaugh nomination. It is time for Senate Republicans to put an end to the extortion of the left and uphold the rule of law and the will of the people. This opportunity has been hard won by We the People and provided for us by God himself, and we will accept nothing less than decisive action before the election."
