WTPC STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF CONSERVATIVE ICON RUSH LIMBAUGH
Akron, OH: Today, Tom Zawistowski, President of the TEA Party affiliated We the People Convention (WTPC) and Executive Director of the Portage County TEA Party, expressed the sincere thanks and appreciation of all of the members of its organizations to conservative icon Rush Limbaugh who passed away today after his long battle with cancer. Zawistowski offered sincere condolences to his wife and family and the staff of his EIB radio organization, all of whom have lost a huge and irreplaceable part of their lives.
Zawistowski said, “With his passing, Rush Limbaugh has moved on to a place of peace and tranquility after 30 years of working hard to achieve the same for everyone here in this nation he loved with every fiber of his being. Rush Limbaugh lives on in each and every one of us who learned from him about history and truth and justice and freedom and liberty and caring for each other by sharing the powerful inclusive message of conservatism that all men and women deserve to be free and allowed to achieve their own American dream, just as he did.”
Zawistowski concluded, “Rush has been an integral part of the daily lives of millions of Americans and his passing will leave a big hole in those lives. We will miss his voice, his humor, his love of satire, his knowledge - we will miss him, the person who was our friend even though we never met him in person. We will never forget him or the lessons he taught us. Now it is up to all of us to teach those same lessons to generations to come. We are dedicated to that task. His legacy deserves no less and much more from those of us to whom he gave so much. May he rest in eternal peace.”
