Remembering Charlie Kirk on his Birthday

America remembers the life, impact, and lasting legacy of Charlie Kirk on his Birthday.

October 14th will be a “National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk” that is set on what would have been Charlie’s 32nd birthday.

But September 10 robbed him and his family of that—and America of one of the greatest defenders of freedom, truth, and conservatism of our times. His life of courage, drive, and unwavering commitment to American values has left a permanent mark on our history.

Charlie championed liberty. His vision built a movement. His death inspired a revival. And his example will continue to inspire for generations to come.

One month has passed . . . and the loss still echoes across our nation.

Millions of Americans have felt the weight of his absence. Because our world will never be the same—and his loss will continue to touch the lives of every American for generations.

Charlie spent his 31 years serving his country, family, and God—and now, our nation is honoring him for that service as President Donald J. Trump awards him America’s highest civilian honor: The Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 4:00 PM (ET) | 1:00 PM (PT), Erika Kirk will attend the White House ceremony to receive this award on her husband’s behalf.

Charlie tirelessly fought to unify Americans around our foundational values—and now Turning Point USA invites you to join us in bringing our nation together to honor his legacy. Please set aside a moment from your afternoon to join millions of other Americans in remembrance of Charlie as he is officially recognized as a hero for faith, family, and freedom. (We will send further information on the ceremony and how you can tune in tomorrow.)

While this is a powerful day for our nation, we must carry on Charlie’s legacy . . . tomorrow, next week, and beyond.

Please join us in remembering our founder, mentor, and dear friend. Let us honor his memory by recommitting to the mission he began: fighting for freedom, inspiring a generation, and doing the work to save America.

We will never forget him.

And Turning Point USA will make certain that his voice remains alive for every future generation.

For Charlie,

Congressman Patronis Introduces a Resolution Establishing National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk

September 16, 2025
Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jimmy Patronis introduced a resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives in conjunction with Senator Rick Scott, who filed a similar resolution in the U.S. Senate, to honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk. The resolution supports the designation of a “National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk” on Oct. 14 and recognizes Charlie Kirk for his contributions to civic education and public service. Original Co-Sponsors include Representatives Greg Steube, Mark Alford, Anna Paulina Luna, Cory Mills, Gus Bilirakis, Barry Moore, Maria Salazar, Aaron Bean, Mike Collins, Carlos Gimenez, Austin Scott, and Derrick Van Orden.

Congressman Jimmy Patronis said, “Charlie Kirk was more than a conservative thought leader. He was a fearless warrior of free speech, faith, and the principles that make America the greatest country in the world. He empowered young people to find their voice, defend their values, and embrace their role in shaping the future of our nation. Charlie willingly braved the public square of colleges and universities to remind us all what makes free speech so important and how best we can come together as a nation: through the peaceful and respectful sharing of ideas. By honoring is life with a National Day of Remembrance, we ensure that Charlie’s legacy lives on, inspiring future generations to stand boldly for freedom and the Constitution.”

Senator Rick Scott said, “Charlie was a magnetic leader, a loving father and husband, and a friend and inspiration to so many. His loss is devastating, I’ll always cherish the friendship I had with him. Charlie loved our nation and its founding principles, and believed deeply in his faith, in his family, and in beauty of ideas and discussion. He lived with purpose and conviction, never shying away from hard truths and hard conversations, and always believing that the strength of our ideas and our faith could bring people together. Charlie worked to make our nation a better place in his 31 years before he was lost in an evil act of political violence, and will leave a lasting legacy on our nation. We know what Charlie would want us to do: he’d want us to stand strong by the ideas we believe in, have discussions, carry on with hope, strength and courage, and look to God for guidance. I am proud to lead a resolution honoring Charlie’s legacy as an American patriot by designating October 14th, what would have been his 32nd birthday, as National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk – a day to come together, pray, and celebrate Charlie’s impact on the nation.”

Sen. Rick Scott Introduces Bill to Name Washington, DC, Street ‘Charlie Kirk Patriot Way’

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) has introduced legislation to designate a section of H Street Northwest in the nation’s capital as “Charlie Kirk Patriot Way,” which, if enacted, would make Washington, DC, the first city and federal jurisdiction to honor the late Turning Point USA founder with a street naming following earlier tributes in Florida.

The Charlie Kirk Patriot Way Act, introduced Friday with Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Bernie Moreno (R-OH), and Josh Hawley (R-MO) as cosponsors, would officially name the area of H Street Northwest between Connecticut Avenue and Vermont Avenue “Charlie Kirk Patriot Way.” The bill directs the District of Columbia to install four street signs bearing the new name at key intersections along the corridor, including at Connecticut Avenue, Vermont Avenue, and both sides of 16th Street Northwest.

The measure follows Scott’s earlier leadership in the Senate’s unanimous passage of a resolution designating October 14, 2025 — what would have been Kirk’s 32nd birthday — as the National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk. That resolution, approved on September 18, honors Kirk’s “faith, free speech, and civic engagement,” and encourages schools and communities to observe the day with activities promoting liberty and civil discourse.

In the new bill’s announcement, Scott described the street naming as a tribute to Kirk’s lifelong dedication to encouraging debate and civic participation. He said the designation would serve as a reminder of Kirk’s commitment to “standing strong in what you believe: peacefully, purposefully, and proudly.”

Blackburn called Kirk “a patriot whose unwavering dedication to promoting American values and free speech will not be forgotten,” while Moreno reflected on Kirk’s early vision to engage young Americans in politics, saying it grew “into a movement that would change the course of our country.”

The proposed street naming joins a growing number of national and local tributes to the conservative activist. In Florida, Lake County commissioners unanimously voted to rename a section of Wellness Way as “Charlie Kirk Memorial Highway,” marking the first local government decision in the nation to memorialize Kirk following his September 10 assassination during a Utah Valley University event.

Additional honors have followed across the country. New College of Florida has announced plans to erect a statue of Kirk on campus, and Florida officials are considering several other memorial designations. Congressional resolutions and proposals introduced by lawmakers, including efforts to mint commemorative coins, have also sought to preserve Kirk’s legacy.
