ATTORNEY GENERAL GARLAND AND FBI DIRECTOR WRAY AND THEIR AGENCIES SUED BY J-6 PEACEFUL PROTESTERS OVER ILLEGAL SURVEILLANCE - LOOKING FOR $1 BILLION IN DAMAGES

Northern District of Florida – Larry Klayman, Esq., the founder of both Freedom Watch and Judicial Watch, and now the Chairman and General Counsel of Freedom Watch, announced Wednesday the filing of a class action lawsuit against Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray and their departments and agencies at the U.S. Department of Justice, for ordering and carrying out illegal surveillance concerning the peaceful protesters of January 6, 2021 (hereafter ‘J-6’) , prohibited under Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. The class action complaint, styled Rivera et. al v. FBI et. al, Civil Action No. 3:23-CV-24547 was filed before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and requests an award of over a Billion USD to the January 6, 2021 victims of this illegal surveillance.
That this illegal surveillance occurred and was trained on J-6 peaceful protesters is not in dispute and has been widely disclosed and reported upon by major news organizations.
Previously, in a case styled Klayman v. Obama et. al, Civil Action No.1:13-CV-00851 (D.D.C. 2013), Klayman had previously obtained preliminary injunctions against the Obama-Biden NSA when it was revealed by Edward Snowden that identical mass surveillance had been illegally conducted against hundreds of millions of Americans.

Klayman had this to say when filing the class action complaint:
“This case has the potential not just to yield large damages for the J-6 victims of the illegal surveillance by the Biden Department of Justice and its criminally minded attorney general and FBI director, but also to potentially knock out the prosecutions and convictions of J-6 peaceful protesters, as it appears that evidence was illegally obtained to use against them.”
“Attorney General Merrick Garland, a pliant tool of the Democrat anti-Trump Left and President Biden himself, and his ‘lackey’ of an FBI Director Christopher Wray, have no respect for the constitutional rights of J-6 defendants and they will be made to pay a heavy price for their illegal actions.”
“These two dishonest and corrupt ‘public servants’ have sadly turned my once proud alma mater, the U.S. Department of Justice, into a virtual Gestapo to put down all dissent against President Biden and his leftist comrades. This cannot be permitted to continue without legal recourse.”
