Jeffrey D. Sachs is an American economist and public policy analyst renowned for his work in sustainable development and economic policy. He serves as a University Professor at Columbia University, holding the rank of University Professor, the university’s highest academic rank, and directs the Center for Sustainable Development. Throughout his career, Sachs has advised numerous countries on economic strategies, focusing on poverty alleviation, debt crises, and transitions to market economies.
