President Trump's Statement on Iran

President Trump once again shows what it takes for America to win against the forces of Evil in this world. The killing of Iranian terrorist General Qassem Soleimani was a brilliant tactical move that has shaken the Iranian regime to its core. Today, instead of escalating the fighting, he offered the Iranians both a carrot and a stick. He made it clear that the US does not want this war that Iran has been waging against us and our allies for decades, but that we want peace and we want Iran to prosper. He opened the door for discussion with Iran and said that he would also ask NATO, Russia and China to get more involved in solving the conflict.

However, the only path to peace for Iran is to end its nuclear program, end its funding and support of terrorism around the world, and stop threatening its neighbors in the region. The President forcefully opened his statement with "Iran will not be allowed to have nuclear weapons as long as I am President" with the clear threat that if they continue down that path, the U.S. will take military action to stop them.  Also, if Iran or any of its proxies kill any American, the U.S. will retaliate. To help encourage this change in behavior,  he added new economic sanctions on Iran in a continued effort to convince the Iranian leadership that they better change direction if they want to stay in power.

This is "Peace through Strength" and as I said in our Radio Show/Podcast last Saturday, the ONLY THING people in the Middle East Understand is STRENGTH. That doesn't mean that this incredibly complicated issue is solved, it hasn't been solved for 1,000 years! What it does mean is that we are one step closer to replacing the current Iranian regime so that we can get our military forces out of the Middle East.

The American People are, and the World is,  safer today than we were last week because of the decisive action taken by President Trump. From Kim in North Korea, to XI in China and Putin in Russia, the message is crystal clear, this President is no fool and he is not afraid to use our great military against anyone who threatens our people or our prosperity. That is what WE all Voted for in 2016 and what all Democrat/Socialist/Communists fear in 2020!
